A round up of my favourite Wedding Images of 2015
I had such a great time putting this post together, re-visiting all the cracking weddings I shot this year. As I chose images to include I began to wonder if there was a recipe that drew me to certain photographs, why I loved them so much. Light definitely comes into it - rather an obvious statement coming from a photographer, but I love interesting shadows, soft and harsh and those fabulous moments when mother nature offers up an undeniable gift of a perfectly timed and placed ray of light.
I also love the unexpected. I've learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to wedding photography, anything goes, and its this aspect that ensures each and every wedding is unique. I get to document these moments and that makes my heart sing!
What speaks to most though, has to be emotion. Emotive imagery really touches me and that doesn't come from posing, it comes from real life, real connections. The varied emotions involved in a wedding day, from babies to grandparents and everyone in-between, you can bet there'll be tears and smiles but throw in a nervous glance, a toddler tantrum or two and some serious elation and I know I'll have some winning photo's. I come home from every wedding I shoot literally buzzing and feel some serious excitement when I load up what I've shot!
And love. That's what it's all about. And its always there, in all its glory wherever you look. I get to photograph that, and it rocks!
Come follow me, I'd love to have you on board!
