The stunning WoodHall Manor in Suffolk was the venue chosen by Alisha and Carl for their wedding. I've shot here several times now, with my partner in crime, Lesley-Anne of Purple Pear Tree Photography and it never fails to impress us. The day dawned with the weather unable to make a firm decision and, as Alisha wanted the ceremony outside, we were keeping any eye on the forecast! As it turned out, the weather was glorious and she got exactly what she wanted! The girls were all very calm in the morning, but the rest of the house was bustling with activity as friends and family began arriving and exploring the beautiful surroundings. Alisha had chosen a deep purple for her bridesmaids with the boys wearing traditional tails, whilst her stunning lace and embellished gown offered a modern twist. The stunning flowers (in abundance!) featuring Calla Lilies looked and smelled exquisite. After a wonderful (and very emotional) ceremony on the lawn, the guest were treated to a drinks reception to sounds of the Ipswich Caribbean Steel Band whilst soaking up some very warm sunshine! We slipped the new Mr and Mrs off for some portraits as their guests were sat down to eat. Then followed the most heartfelt set of speeches I think I've every heard, roars of laughter and then not a dry eye in the house! After speeches, Carl and Alisha's bridesmaids sat them down to show them some hilarious footage they'd been secretly filming of family and friends, in Carl and Alisha's house, wearing their clothes (and one family member bravely in a green mankini!), dancing and singing to 'Uptown Funk'! You'll see their reactions....it was just a fabulous way to round of a perfect day! Congratulations Alisha and Carl!
Come follow me, I'd love to have you on board!
